Crosses and Saints – St. Crescentia and 100 crucifixes

This tour gives visitors an insight into the life of Staint Crescentia, as well as sacred sculptures and crucifixes. A whole room in the museum is dedicated to St. Crescentia of Kaufbeuren (1682 - 1744). The crucifix collection, which enjoys widespread renown, is presented under the vaulted ceilings of the museum’s ground floor. The sacred objects are placed in the context of their cultural and historical environment and are a true delight for art lovers. The tour also gives an in-depth look at a selection of medieval sculptures.
