The new presentation of the collection is based on a carefully thought-out concept of content and communication, which embraces the fact that society as a whole is changing and that unique collections such as our crucifix collection are no longer self-explanatory, but now more than ever need to relate to the visitors’ daily lives and experience. The museum was designed by Atelier Erich Hackel, who transformed the vision into reality, with rooms that enhance their contents by means of ingeniously employed design elements. The educational aspect of the presentation aims to cater to the various types of learners. In addition to the classic medium of texts, information is communicated by means of audio stations, audio guides, hands-on stations and interactive multimedia stations.
