Services for our visitors

Wheelchair access is available to all four floors by lift.

The rest rooms feature a changing table and disabled toilet.

The Stadtmuseum aims to cater to a diverse target audience. Its offers include a programme and guided tours for the blind and partially sighted. At special “touch stations”, visually impaired visitors have the opportunity to “feel and experience” the museum, accompanied by a sighted companion.
Families with children will enjoy the interactive children’s route which is integrated into the permanent exhibition. Activity, media and audio stations make the museum visit a fun experience for our young visitors.
At the moment, these offers are only available in German.

A museum brochure in English is available for guests from abroad.

On request, we can arrange guided tours for groups through the Urban Traces and Typical Kaufbeuren collections in English, Italian, French and Russian. Please telephone in advance to make arrangements.

Folding stools are available for guests to use in the exhibition.

Our museum shop offers a wide range of articles, from postcards with museum motifs to gift articles and books for adults and children. Here you are sure to find the perfect souvenir to take home with you.
